Description
The Jakarta Centre is commissioning two hand-carved shrine thrones and six chokchi offering
tables from the Tibetan carving workshop of Lopsang in Nepal — the taller throne for His Holiness
the Dalai Lama, the second for Khen Rinpoche, our Chief Abbot.
Every surface is carved and painted by hand: a garuda crown, gold dragon brocade, snow lions and
atlas figures around the base, on a three-tier stepped platform. At checkout you can
give the names you wish to dedicate — every name is read at the
consecration of the thrones and kept on the dedication list beneath them.
