Description

Puja Chenrezig invokes Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara), the embodiment of all the Buddhas’ compassion, whose mantra is OM MANI PADME HUM. The puja is held with Tshog — a feast offering of fruits, cakes and sweets shared by all present — and is especially loved for healing, for those who are ill or grieving, and for the peace of the departed.

Chau Tu — A Ceremony of Universal Deliverance

On the 15th day of the 7th lunar month, we gather for Chau Tu. Through prayer, the offering of lamps, and compassion, we help wandering spirits find peace, release their suffering, and take rebirth in a happier realm.

Dedicate a Name — Free (1–26 Aug 2026)

Submit the names of loved ones — the living, for long life, health, and safety; or those who have passed (Almarhum). Each name is written on tablet paper and blessed by Geshe, free of charge.

Center open daily 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM for name registration and offerings.

Chau Tu (中元普渡) — the ceremony of universal deliverance for the departed, on the 15th day of the 7th lunar month.

Description

On Chit Gwee Pua — the 15th day of the 7th lunar month — we gather for Chau Tu. Through prayer, the offering of lamps and food, and the power of compassion, we help the spirits of the departed, our ancestors, and every wandering being with no one to remember them find relief, peace and a fortunate rebirth. Names written on tablet paper are read and blessed by Geshe during the puja.
