Introduction to Sera Jey Wisdom Center

Sera Jey Wisdom Center is a spiritual sanctuary dedicated to preserving and sharing the profound teachings of Tibetan Buddhism in Indonesia’s vibrant capital. As an affiliate of the renowned Sera Jey Monastic University in India, the center serves as a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern life, offering a welcoming space for individuals of all backgrounds to explore the path of mindfulness, compassion, and inner peace.

Through regular prayer ceremonies, meditation sessions, Dharma teachings, and cultural events, the center fosters a supportive community where spiritual growth and cultural appreciation go hand in hand. Whether you’re new to Buddhism or a seasoned practitioner, you’ll find meaningful opportunities to connect with the authentic Gelug tradition and deepen your inner journey.

With a warm, inclusive environment and a dedicated monastic presence, Sera Jey Wisdom Center stands as a living expression of Tibetan Buddhist heritage, compassion, and service.

Our Monks at the Centre

Dedicated and trained in the Tibetan tradition, our resident monks guide spiritual practice with wisdom and compassion. Each holds the Geshe degree — the highest qualification of the Gelug monastic curriculum, earned through decades of study in the Sera Jey tradition. They lead weekly prayers, pujas, and Dharma teachings, and warmly welcome newcomers and experienced practitioners alike.
